10th edition of CinEast, the central and Eastern European Film Festival

05/10/17 - 22/10/17

The 10th edition of CINEAST, the central and Eastern European Film Festival, will take place in Luxembourg from 5 until 22 October. Several Polish films will be screened as part of a programme devoted to cinema from what we have become accustomed to calling ‘Eastern Europe’. Alongside international animated films and short films inspired or commisioned by brands (see the work of Arkadius JAKUBIK and Jowita BUDNIK for example), there will also be concerts to enjoy, such as the concert by Semi-Invented Trio on 18 October.

The cine-concert by the group Semi-Invented Trio will take place on 18 October. The artists will put a silent film, The Undesirable (A Tolonc), from Hungarian director Mihály Kertész to music... better known by the name Michael Curtiz, this director was also behind the Hollywood classic Casablanca.
The Semi-Invented Trio was composed by the pianist Adrian KONARSKI, drummer Sławomir BERNY and violinist Michał CHYTRZYŃSKI. Moving between jazz and rhythms from Eastern Europe, bewitching melodies and inspired improvisation, these high-class musicians will mingle sound and image in harmonous fashion.
