Krzysztof PENDERECKI is interfering with the programming of the Music Chapel Festival: Beethoven, given over entirely to the last representative of Viennese classicism. Drawing a link between the German composer’s work and the modernity of his own, the Polish maestro will break with the exclusively Beethoven-led programme, since, alongside Beethoven’s Concerto for violin in D major, Penderecki will be conducting his own Second symphony. The excellent Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, known as the SINFONIA VARSOVIA, will take us through this first-rate programme, and will without a doubt confirm its excellent reputation.
