Every Belgian comic lover knows the name Grzegorz ROSIŃSKI. He is the talented graphic artist who is behind the adventures of THORGAL, brought to life by Jean VAN HAMME. The adventures have guaranteed him his own special place in the history of Belgian comic books. However, the public tends to be unaware of the fact that the artist is of Polish origin and plied his trade in his home country. It is in ROSIŃSKI’s Polish period that the exhibition ROSINSKI DE POLOGNE is particularly interested.

When he discovered comic books in 1953, Grzegorz Rosiński, then aged 12, knew that his future would reside in this new medium. Indeed, telling the stories found in comic books became part of his daily life, well before he met the scriptwriter Jean Van Hamme in 1976. Now, the public knows the series Thorgal well. It was a joint project between the two men, complete with Rosiński’s very distinctive drawings, plausible stories and typical readability.
