Rencontres centre-européennes: Grażyna Plebanek

The writer Grażyna PLEBANEK will be the guest at the second Rencontres centre-européennes held at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
On the programme: readings from extracts of her work (in Polish and French) and a discussion with the author.
Known amongst other things for the serials and articles which she publishes in many magazines in Poland (Gazeta Wyborcza, Magazyn Literacki, Lampa, Newsweek, Elle, etc.), Grażyna PLEBANEK is also an established novelist. Her notable works are Nielegalne związki (2010), Dziewczyny z Portofino (2005) and Pudełko ze szpilkami (2002) published by W.A.B.

Grażyna PLEBANEK is a writer who currently lives in Brussels. Originally from Warsaw, she studied Polish at the University of Warsaw. Formerly a journalist for Reuters and Gazeta Wyborcza, she now writes serials for the weekly Polityka and her work is published in Wysokie Obcasy (the Saturday supplement of Gazeta Wyborcza), Wysokie Obcasy Extra, Magazyn Literacki, Lampa, Newsweek, Elle, Pogranicza and Trendy.
Grażyna Plebanek lived for five years in Stockholm. Since 2005, she has lived and written in Brussels. She is part of an international group of artists  whose portraits, taken by Belgian photographer Stephan Vanfleteren, feature in an exhibition which was inaugurated in Brussels in 2009 and installed for a period of ten years.
