The World from Dawn till Dusk’ is an original project based on several workshops for film school students held in various cities across the globe. Under the artistic supervision of their teachers, the most prominent Polish documentary filmmakers and film theorists Marcel Łoziński, Jacek Bławut, Vita Żelakeviciute, Mateusz Werner, Maciej Drygas and Mirosław Dembiński, the students work together on a number of documentary films, in which the city itself takes the starring role. In the end, one-hour documentary films, which paint portraits of those cities, are made.
The main aim of the project is to present films made during the workshops and screen some of the tutors’ documentaries. These presentations are part of the tour ‘From Warsaw to Brussels around the World’ and they cover the following cities: Warsaw, Minsk, Kiev, Moscow, Beijing, Tokyo and Brussels.
