The fourth edition of the Triennal for Ceramics and Glass will take place from 15 October until 15 January 2017. At every edition, two countries are invited to put forward artists who join forces with Belgian designers over the three months of the event: this year, the Netherlands and Poland will be taking centre stage! No fewer than 40 artists will be present, including 11 from Poland (see the names HERE).

The triennial is organised by the World Crafts Council of French-speaking Belgium (WCC-BF) whose headquarters can be found in the Anciens Abattoirs, Mons. As is the case every year, the WCC-BF has designated a curator for every participating country. For Poland, this role falls to Monika PATUSZYŃSKA.

The day before the inauguration, the Belgian Minister of Culture will present the winner of the competition held before the triennial with a cheque for 2,500€ . S/he is chosen by an international jury.

She freely crosses the borders between the materials, using in her installations ceramics and animal bones for the sculptures together with found objects.
She lives and works in Faenza, Italy.

Antonina JOSZCZUK
Antonina focuses on contrasts, her interests and realisations shift between the known and the unknown, between the tangible and ephemeral, between light and darkness, white and black. She makes glass objects and installations.

For the inspiration and the themes of her works she looks at the paintings of great masters, selecting the animals present there and incorporating them as the main characters of her work.
She lives and works in Düsserdolf, Germany.

Karina MARUSIŃSKA
Karina's interests go far beyond the material itself. Although she started as a designer, through her latest works she analyzes the condition of contemporary society and the surrounding world. She works at her alma mater, the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław at the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass.

Kamila SZCZĘSNA
Kamila graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass of the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, although she is more a sculptor.
