Delicate Chopin melodies, sung by Urszula Kryger, will form the response to readings by Sébastien Dutrieux accompanied on a suberb 1842 Erard piano by Claire Chevallier. A man of music but also of letters, Frédéric Chopin was constantly changing throughout his short life, which was spent at the heart of a renowned literary set. ‘Lettres à Chopin’ (‘Letters to Chopin’) explores the relationship the composer had with words, examining his connections to the poets of his time and his fascinating correspondence, but also plunging into the gentle and powerful universe of his melodies for mezzo-sopranos.
