For this Chopin concerto, composed in 1830, Flagey hosted a performance by the talented French pianist Pascal Amoyel, whose recording of the very well-known Nocturnes by Chopin is a little marvel. For the performance, Amoyel played on an 1841 Pleyel piano forte. The magical mood conjured up by the piano and the Anima Eterna period instruments, conducted by Jos van Immerseel, was further enhanced by the exceptional acoustics of Studio 4.
